A Normal Day

Good Morning Bloggers! Hope you all are starting your day off with a little sunshine and a smile. Today actually feels like a normal day - I have things to do but don't feel like I have to rush. I like days like this. The weather is nice - cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon. The only problem with days like these is I never quite know how to dress my kids for school - jeans or shorts, short or long sleeves. Anyone else have that problem? Michigan weather is so fickle - you never quite know what you're going to get (like a box of chocolates).

Well, Saturday is World Cardmaking Day. Is anyone out there holding or going to a class or other stamping event? I'd like to know what the rest of you are doing for this wondrous occasion.
Post a comment on what you are doing for World Card Making Day and On October 7 I will use the random number picker and pick a winner for the following
BLOG GOODIES!

  • a new clear stamp & acrylic block that I found at Michaels. (Has anyone seen these?)

  • some ribbon samples for you to enjoy!

  • some pre cut 12 x 12 designer paper from the Fall Flowers series in the Stampin' Up! catalog to make your own OSW cards. like

Here's a pic of the Goodies:

I myself am doing a fun One Sheet Wonder class on Saturday with a fellow Demonstrator - Kim. I'm really looking forward to this! The pic above is a sample of a couple of the cards guests can make with their paper. Everyone will be getting the Fun & Fast Notes stamp set from the 2007 Fall/Winter Collection Stampin' Up! catalog along with all the materials to make 16 cards! I am cutting and mounting all of the sets for my guests. I will be double mounting the set like in the pic above. This way you don't have to use the sentiment unless you want to. I so like mounting my own stamps so I can have this option.

Needless to say that after my volleyball game tonite I will be working on cutting a whole bunch of stamp sets! I better go exercise my cutting fingers for a bit. Have a wonderful day!

What great goodies!!! I was sooo jealous that you get to celebrate WCMD!!! My FIL's birthday is Saturday, so we have to go up North for that. I so wish I could go to one of the many classes or crops which are being offered. Sigh...
Thanks!

Hi Laura!
Sounds like you are going to have an awesome time celebrating WCMD!

Alas, my SU demo is out of town, so we had to postpone our celebration.

But I am having fun seeing what all you bloggers are doing :)

I haven't heard anything about world card making day in Norway but it takes some time for these events to reach us. We just started celebarting Halloween and only kind off. I am planing on meeting a friend. Looking forward to it as I due to illness don't get out much.
Hope you have a great day! And weekend:)

I am going to a birthday party on Sunday. i don't get a whole lot of time to stamp anymore but I'll make an effort to at least make one card on Cardmaking Day!

I hope I win. I have never used the acrylic stamps but would love to try them. I absolutely love the new color line from stamping up. I just ordered some things from them and can't wait to use them.

I'm totally addicted to studio G stamps and the ones you have here I don't have yet it would be nice to win them.

Those cards are so cute. Fast and fun notes is the one stamp set I have really been wanting and your cards made with it are adorable!

I just love Studio G Stamps. Haven't seen those yet. I'm making cards all day and scrapbooking too.

Happy WCMD & hope you enjoyed your class. My LSS has Linda from Rosie's Roadshow offering classes this weekend which I had hoped to attend. Instead I came down with a nasty cold, so I'm not going anywhere now:( Tell Sophie & Nolan that I said hi!

Hi Laura!
Sounds like you are going to have an awesome time celebrating WCMD!

I had a great time shopping with my stamping buddies, and lunch afterward. It was quite a day at Hobby Lobby!

I went out of town to see my daughter was in a play at her campus. I did get a chance to stamp some images from a few of my sisters duck stamps, but otherwise my WCMD was fairly unproductive. Sounds like you had a fun & creative weekend.

Hi Laura!
Thank you for offering a chance to win such a terrific prize!

Will you be posting pictures of your OSW cards from WCMD?

Hi Laura!
Thank you for offering a chance to win such a terrific prize!

Funny you should mention how fickle Michigan weather is...
we've had the same problem here in KY. Last Monday we broke the record high by reaching 91! Two days later we broke the record low, in the 30's overnight with frost the next morning. This is just too weird!!
