Happy Easter

Good evening - Hope you all had a wonderful blessed Easter Day. He is Risen, He is Risen Indeed!
I was lucky and got to spend the day with my family: my DH, Sophie (my daughter), Nolan (my son), my mom, my great-uncle Steve and my MIL. This is probably one of the smallest groups we've had for a holiday dinner - ever! Ususally we have 10-15 guests - seems everyone had other plans this year. That's okay it was nice to have a quiet dinner and good food and to reflect on the true meaning of Easter. What an overwhelming feeling to realize that Christ died on the cross to save us from our sins. What a gift!
My kids got up early as they do every Easter morning so they can hunt for their easter baskets and easter eggs. Does the Easter Bunny hide both the baskets and eggs for you kids? I'm interested in knowing what traditions other have. Not a lot of candy in the easter baskets this year (thank goodness) but they did get a summer outfit, a movie, some underwear and a card game. I think they did pretty good! Tomorrow it is back to school! Sophie says she doesn't want to go back, but secretly I know she misses her friends!
The scrapbook page I made here was one of the samples I sent into Stampin' Up! a few months ago to see if they would choose me to do some samples for the display boards and CD at convention this year. I am so excited and flattered to say thay they chose me as one of the display stampers. I am so excited to get to work on my projects. This scrapbook page is of my sweet boy, Nolan. The pic was taken in the U.P of Michigan on Lake Superior near where we vacation each year. We love spending time here and spend every sunset on the beach when we are there. They are such wonderful memories. The caption says: PEACE... is seeing a sunset and knowing who to thank" It was really difficult for me to send this page in - luckily I took the picture so I can recreate it for my scrapbook.
I must say it is amazing how quickly word spreads amog these blogs. Seems it takes one person to find you then they pass your blog site to another and soon you have countless comments and well wishers. Thank you all for visiting and for your sweet comments. I am flattered and humbled because I have checked out all the blog sites from those who have left comments and their work in so wonderful! I plan to check back often too! The inspiration in so overwhelming!
So, now I am off to get my kids in their jammies then watch part of one of the new movies and then I get to get some of my scrapbooking things together as I get to go to Pages In Time tomorrow with my bestest friend, Melissa in celebration of our birthdays (last month).
So, God bless and Happy Easter!
